As an experienced hands-on professional, with over 25 years of clinical experience in skin care, Christine Heathman is a Medical Master Aesthetician, holding 3 licenses in Aesthetics, an Esthetic license in California, a Master license in Utah, and an Esthetic license in Europe. In addition, Christine is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Utah, certified in Repetitive Use Injury Therapy (RUIT) and a camouflage makeup artist who has extensive experience with burn patients and other types of skin deformities. Her medical affiliations have included Saint Francis Hospital and Stanford Dermatology Department—both located in San Francisco, and The Institute of Facial Surgery in Salt Lake City. In addition, Christine was the first contracted Medical Esthetician with the University of Utah School of Medicine.

Christine was the guiding force in the passage of Utah State Gill HB 105 which propelled Utah as the first state to provide both an Esthetician license and a Master Esthetician license and continues to be a leading advocate for Estheticians and the safety of consumers nationwide, including her most recent role against Utah Senate Bill 54 which would allow physicians to hire inexperienced individuals to practice certain medical procedures unsupervised.

As the director of education for the GlyMed Plus Institute of Skin Scienceâ„¢ headquartered in Spanish Fork, Utah, Christine directs and provides a comprehensive training program for Medical Staff, Spa Professionals and Estheticians on Paramedical Esthetics, Skin Biology, Ingredient Biochemistry, Condition-Specific Treatment and Product-Specific Methodologies. Christine’s dedication to education is well established in the skin care industry and is known on a global basis for exceptional schooling in advanced skin care.

Serving as past Educational Director/Vice President of the prestigious American Esthetician Association, Christine assisted in building and unifying the aesthetic profession in the United States through affiliated networking. This concept has brought together and inspired massage therapists, spa technicians, medical aestheticians, physicians, nutritionists, nurses and cosmetologists to strengthen these professions through shared education. Christine was instrumental in providing the necessary objectivity to accomplish the agenda of the State Board for Aesthetics.
